Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds smoked sausage
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 small onion sliced

Instructions
 

  • Cut sausage into small pieces.
  • Put sausage in clean glass jars.
  • Boil vinegar, water, salt, and sugar.
  • Add garlic, onion, pepper flakes, and peppercorns.
  • Add bay leaves for flavor.
  • Stir until sugar melts fully.
  • Pour hot liquid over sausage in jars.
  • Close jars with tight lids.
  • Let jars cool at room temperature.
  • Keep jars in the fridge for 2 days.
