Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ cup mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, egg, water, and salt in a bowl.
  • Knead the dough until it feels soft.
  • Shape small dumpling pieces by hand.
  • Heat a pot and pour chicken broth.
  • Add carrots, onion, cabbage, and mushrooms.
  • Stir soy sauce and ginger in the pot.
  • Let vegetables cook for ten minutes.
  • Drop dumplings into the hot broth.
  • Cook until dumplings rise and get soft.
  • Serve hot and add green onions on top.

Notes

  • Use warm water for softer dumplings.
  • Do not knead the dough too much.
  • Cut vegetables in equal size.
  • Taste the broth before serving.
  • Add herbs for more flavor.
